Hasten Labs is an engineering firm in Bangalore. We started because the gap between software that demonstrates well and software a business will actually run is wider than most people are willing to cross.
Why we exist
Software projects tend to stall at the same point. The prototype is impressive, the pilot goes well, and then somebody asks what happens when the input is malformed, who gets paged at two in the morning, how it behaves under real load, and who signs their name against it being safe. Those questions are reasonable. Answering them is a different discipline from building the prototype.
That second discipline is most of what we do. It is less exciting than a demo and it is the reason projects actually ship.

We say no to work we should not take
If a problem does not need what we do, or needs someone closer to it than we can be, the useful answer is to say so early. We would rather lose an engagement than deliver one badly.
The engineer you meet is the engineer who builds it
No handover from the people who sold the work to the people who do it. The team is deliberately small and intends to stay that way.
You own everything we make
Source, documentation, deployment, working files. No proprietary layer you have to keep paying us for, and no reason you cannot take it in-house.
The name
To hasten is to bring something forward — to make it arrive sooner than it otherwise would. It is what good engineering does for a business, and it is a promise we made to ourselves before there was a company to put it on.
